I designed and implemented FreshChain, a comprehensive web-based supply chain management system for Acer International Bakery (AIB) operating across Japan, USA, and Hong Kong. This enterprise-level solution optimizes fruit inventory management and delivery logistics between warehouses and retail locations throughout their international operations. As the lead developer, I architected a sophisticated role-based access control system with differentiated permissions for administrators, store staff, and warehouse personnel, implementing secure session-based authentication to maintain system integrity. The solution was built using a full-stack approach with Java EE, Servlets, JSP, MySQL, and Tailwind CSS, creating a responsive design that functions seamlessly across multiple devices. The system's core functionality includes real-time inventory tracking, inter-shop borrowing capabilities, warehouse-to-store delivery management, and automated ID generation for new products. I engineered a dynamic navigation system that adapts UI components based on user role and permissions, ensuring an intuitive experience for all stakeholders. Additionally, I created comprehensive reporting functionality allowing management to analyze supply chain efficiency across international operations. FreshChain demonstrated my proficiency in Java EE application development with MVC architecture, relational database design for complex business requirements, session-based authentication and authorization, responsive front-end development, and multi-environment deployment for international operations. The business impact was significant, with improved inventory visibility and reduced waste across international operations by enabling efficient sharing of resources between locations and providing real-time stock level monitoring across the entire supply chain.
